March 2013 Marlboro College TESOL Course Internship
Marlboro College students from the TESOL Course came to Centro Espiral for 2 weeks to do a teaching internship. They had been studying TESOL for a few months in Vermont and came here to do the practice teaching.
We decided to use a project based approach combined with our usual base of ECRIF and PDP in our lesson planning and curriculum design. By the end of the 8 days of English class our English students were to be able to talk about nature and environmental issues when taking a hike on a trail that the local town government was developing to help promote environmental awareness and conservation.
We all had a great time!! See the journal that the students kept and have a look at their final projects and learning statements.
