Music from the soul experience
Mason played a piece on the guitar to represent the four emotional stages of his internship: excitement, anxiety and fear, satisfaction and happiness and bittersweet somethingnothing you get when it ends....
Metaphors to see the growth
Caitlyn made a poster that used ailments to share some of the challenges of her internship: Chapped lips from repeating, stubbed toe from language bumps, dirt under her fingernails from digging up ideas for lessons and sunburn shoulders from so much learning.
From "I" to "we" in a spiral of experiences
Courtney made a poster of a spiral of pictures that represented important moments and experiences of her internship. "The past experience creates what happens in the future experience in the spiral. I am still being affected by each experience. I started with i and ended with we - it is a new formula for community."
Each piece together makes more than the whole
Louisa filled 130 small pieces of paper with all of her learnings and folded them intentionally into small triangles. She then crafted teh triangles into them together to create a swan of her learning
