the teachers, Mary, Roger, Amandita, Sally , Mei Lan, Emma, and the kind people from El Invu Miss Libia, Milagro, Dona , Pipa ,Poy and how they developed a class using simple material the students who went to our clases at night, the food, the costa rican culture, Mary's compassion communication well every detail has helped me during this year with my students I have shared with them all my memories I have felt myself with a strong compromise to be a better teacher , human being and value my family that experienced definitely change my life a great God blessing
I remember the warth and care that I felt since the very moment I stepped out of the van. There is such a great vibe at Maná. I learned to care more for my students as human beings.
THE EXPERIENCE I REMEMBER THE MOST IS WHEN WE LEARNED ABOUT THE EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING. I REMEMBER MARY EATING THE STRAWBERRY WITHOUT GIVING US A BIT, WE JUST WATCHED, SALIVATING.
AS SHE EXPLAINED THE CONTENT OF THE PRESENTATION, SHE CONTINUED EATING, FLESHY-JUICY STRAWBERRIES. THEN SHE GAVE US A BUNCH OF THOSE ATTRACTIVE RED STRAWBERRIES, THAT WAS AN UNFORGETTABLE MOMENT.
TEACHING IS TO MARK AND INFLUENCE ON THE STUDENTS LIFE WITH UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCES. I JUST WANT TO GO BACK THERE.
Thanks for being willing to share your thoughts and experiences with us!
